Interior painting

Interior painting that looks sharp and lasts

Walls, ceilings, doors and trim, painted with crisp lines and real care for your home. We protect everything, prep properly and leave the place tidy.

Inside your home

A fresh interior without the fuss

A good interior repaint changes how a home feels. It should also be easy to live through. We plan the work room by room, keep you updated and tidy up as we go.

Whether it’s a single bedroom, a whole villa or a bathroom that needs a refresh at short notice, the approach is the same. We look closely at the surfaces, talk through finishes and colours, and give you a written quote that shows exactly what’s included.

What we paint inside

  • Walls and feature walls
  • Ceilings, including high stairwells
  • Doors, frames and skirting
  • Window joinery and sills
  • Bathrooms and kitchens
  • Hallways and stairwells
After: kitchen stripped back to bare plasterboard, then finished with white walls, subway tiles and sage cabinetry
Before: kitchen stripped back to bare plasterboard, then finished with white walls, subway tiles and sage cabinetry
Before & after: kitchenDrag the handle to compare. Bare, stopped plasterboard to a clean, finished kitchen.

Selling, renting or moving out?

A clean, neutral repaint is one of the simplest ways to present a home for sale. We also handle rental and end-of-lease repaints, working to your settlement date or handover so you’re not caught short. Tell us your deadline when you get in touch and we’ll be upfront about whether we can meet it.

Help with colour

Choosing colours is the part most people find hardest. If you’d like a second opinion, we can arrange a colour specialist to help, as we did for Karen’s three bedrooms in Freemans Bay.

How we work in your home

Respectful, tidy and easy to work around

We know you’re often living in the house while we paint. So we agree an order of rooms with you, keep the mess contained and make sure you can still use the kitchen and bathroom where possible.

  • A clear start date and daily hours, agreed in advance
  • Low-odour, water-based paints for most interior work
  • Rooms put back together at the end of each stage
  • Photo updates if you’re at work or away

Interior reviews

What homeowners say

Andy and his team were very efficient and did a beautiful job painting the interior of our Mount Eden bungalow. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for similar work.

Extremely happy with Living Colour Ltd. They organised to have a colour specialist help me with colour choices. Very professional and easy to work around. Definitely using them again for any other work needed.

Andy was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Got our interior looking better than we thought it could whilst being super pragmatic about our situation. Great communication, particularly with regard to timings. Will absolutely use again.

Interior FAQs

Before you book

Quick answers about interior repaints. For anything else, see the full FAQ or call us.

Do I need to move the furniture myself?

No. We move furniture into the middle of the room and cover it, and protect floors with drop sheets. If there are fragile or valuable items, it helps if you put those away before we arrive.

Can we stay in the house while you paint?

Usually, yes. We work through the house in an agreed order so you always have somewhere to be, and we use low-odour paints for most interior work.

How long does an interior repaint take?

It depends on the size of the house and how much prep is needed. A single room is often a day or two; a full house takes longer. Your quote will include a realistic timeframe.

Do you paint ceilings and trim as well as walls?

Yes. We can do walls only, or the full room including ceilings, doors, frames, skirting and window joinery. Your quote will list exactly what’s included.
